THIS IS MY FORMAL REQUEST FOR MORE INDIAN WEDDINGS! Two days = twice the fun! Before their wedding I was able to meet Kanishka and Danishka at a local Austin brewery where we got to eat, drink, and get to know one another. I had the best time learning about their love story, wedding plans, and eating the best mushroom pizza I've ever had! Kanishka and Danishka not only looked like royalty, had amazing family and friends from all over the world fly in, they also had the most epic reception I've ever been apart of! The choreographed dances, Danishka serenading Kashiska, and a dance party that lasted all night (I even had to partake in) made it a wedding weekend I will treasure for a lifetime! I was so very blessed to learn and partake in the traditions. The wedding was made up of three ceremony's; Haldi, Sangeet and Cocktail, and then the wedding ceremony. The Haldi ceremony is a ritual in which turmeric is applied to the bride and groom by married friends for blessing. The Sangeet and Cocktail is a celebratory night of singing and dancing. Usually the families and friends sing songs and perform choreographed dances. Then lastly the hindu wedding ceremony consisting of multiple components.
